LFB (Spain) 1/2008 - Ros Casares 99, Mariana 62

Erika de Souza opened the LFB season for Ros Casares with a double-double for her team as Ros Casares (1-0) defeated Mariana (0-1) by a score of 99-62.

De Souza scored 17 points and 14 rebounds, including 5 offensive rebounds. She was the second leading scorer for Ros Casares, with Anna Montanana Gimeno leading all scorers with 18 points. Roneeka Hodges also added 15 points as five Ros Casares players scored in double figures.

Once again, Ros Casares absolutely killed their opponents at simple shooting percentage - Ros Casares shot 59 percent compared to the 39 percent of Mariana. They outrebounded Mariana by 43-25, with 15 total offensive rebounds. They only had 15 turnovers to the 23 turnovers of Mariana.

Armintie Price scored 13 points for Mariana to lead the team. Maria Llamas Pajuelo also scored 13 points for Mariana.
