Polish League Starts October 1st
It looks like Iziane Castro Marques will get little rest. The first game for the Polskiej Ligi Koszykowki Kobiet - the Polish women's basketball league - starts October 1st, with a game between Krakow and Polkowice. The last game of the regular season is March 17th, and the playoffs follow after that.
Iziane had better get her tickets ready. It's going to be a busy two or three weeks. Chamique Holdsclaw played for Krakow last year before her contract was terminated due to her knee problems. Maybe they'll reunite after the season in Poland?
