Greek Women's A1 8/2008 - Paleo Faliro 61, Apollon Ptolemaiados 55
Paleo Faliro (4-4) ends up with its second straight win of the year, reaching .500 as Apollon Ptolemaiados (4-4) becomes the victim. Apollon Ptolemaiados would lose 61-55 at home.

Paleo Faliro managed to keep the lead as every quarter ended. They only scored 10 points in the second quarter but managed to take a one point lead into halftime, 26-25. They extended their lead to two points at the end of thirty minutes, 44-42, and managed to hang on for a close victory.
Paleo Faliro won the shooting war, 43 percent to 38 percent. The visiting team won the battle of rebounding as well, both offensively and defensively. They would turn the ball over 23 times, but Paleo Faliro would go to the free throw line 17 times and hit 14 of their giveaway shots.
Leading for Apollon Ptolemaidos was Crystal Smith with 26 points, eight rebounds, seven steals...and eight turnovers (she was responsible for half of her team's turnovers). Smith is currently a guard for the Washington Mystics. Chloe Kerr was the only other player to score in double figures for Apollon Ptolemaidos with 11 points, five rebounds and four blocked shots. Kerr was a center who graduated from USC.
Paleo Faliro was led by Atalanti Tasouli with 19 points and nine rebounds. Tatiana Zotova scored 15 points and nine rebounds, and Kristin Haynie added 14 points and six rebounds (but five turnovers). Teana Miller added four points and nine rebounds, and Karen Mourd only scored four points for Paleo Faliro.

Atalanti Tasouli! There's a name out of the past, good God. She was a Comet back in the day- 1997, 1998, something like that.
