Castro Marques Away for Two Weeks

According to a poster on the Atlanta Dream Message board, Izi Castro Marques has left the Dream temporarily to participate in a qualifying tournament for the Brazil women's basketball team. Kelly Santos has left Seattle recently for the exact same thing.

With the game against the undefeated Lynx coming tomorrow night, this leaves the Dream short of both players of its Brazilian connection. Erika DeSousa is injured and Castro Marques is seeking Olympic gold.

Dream fans will simply have to deal with the aches and pains of an inaugural season. And a win against the Lynx at home would cure all wounds.
