Dream Clinch .500 Record With Win Against Sacramento

Didn't get to see much of last night's game - we have friends in over the weekend. But they know they'd better not keep me from the computer for Phoenix/Atlanta. They just better not.

Our 98-90 win gives us 17 total victories for the season, two more than any other team in the Eastern Conference excepting the team ahead of us, Indiana. Angel McCoughtry had 26 points and 10 assists for a double-double. We ended up sweeping Sacramento for the season.

We also tied challenged a few WNBA records in the win:

Most field goals in a game: 45. The only time any other team has scored 45 field goals in a game? Phoenix, who did that to us in Phoenix last year. (Egad!)
Most assists in a game: 32. That record has been untied since 2001, but we just tied it.
Highest field goal percentage for a game: The Dream shot 64.3 percent. (Think the Atlanta Journal-Constitution will cover that?) Only two other teams have shot that well, and no other team has shot above 64 percent since 2005. (Luuuc at RebKell called Sacramento's defense the "white flag defense".)

Hopefully, a happy statistical post-mortem before the Phoenix game tonight.
