E1/2009 - USA Women's National Team 100, Prague 81
The USA Women's National Team - including Angel McCoughtry for the time being - has traveled to Ekaterinburg, Russia for an international tournament. The first opponent for the USA Women was ZVVZ UKA Prague, and the USA Women got off to a great start with a 100-81 victory.

And guess who led the US team in scoring? That's right, Angel McCoughtry. McCoughtry had 17 points and 9 rebounds, coming close to a double-double with 7-for-8 shooting in 23 minutes of play, including two 3-pointers.
Let's look at the four factors:
Field goal percentage: USA 50.6 percent, Prague 41.4 percent. Not bad for the red, white and blue.
Turnovers: USA 18, Prague 18. A wash.
Offensive rebound percentage: USA 46 percent, Prague 23 percent. A 2-1 advantage in offensive rebound percentage for the American team.
Free throw shooting: Prague 15-16, USA 12-22. Okay, we have to work on our free throw shooting.

Angel McCoughtry: 17 points, 9 rebounds as mentioned.
Sylvia Fowles: 14 points, 7 rebounds.
Ashja Jones: 13 points.
Sue Bird: 4 points, 9 assists.
Prague
Evanthia Maltsi: 26 points, 7 rebounds, 9 assists on 8-for-18 shooting.
Ieva Kublina: 13 points, 7 rebounds.
Cathrine Kraayeveld: 9 points, 8 rebounds for the New York Libery starter. 3-for-10 shooting.
Tomorrow, the USA Women's National Team will play Euroleasing Sopron. UMMC Ekaterinburg is waiting on Sunday.
