Paris When It Sizzles

Courtney Paris has decided to put her money where her mouth is when it comes to the 2009 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament. She has promised to return her Oklahoma scholarship money - all $64,000 of it - to Oklahoma if Oklahoma doesn't win the championship.

At West Point, they would call that being "bold before June". You'd think that Oklahoma should have won it all at least once before Paris made a big bet like that. On the other hand, it's good to see that Courtney Paris has some fire and personality. I assume that everyone picking her less talented sister to go ahead of her in the draft has pissed Courtney off, much like someone writing an article that Lorna Luft was a better singer than Liza Minelli.

Then again, as one of the troglodyte commenters noted, this isn't much of a brag. If the Sooners fall short, Courtney's father Bubba could simply pay back the $64 K out of some money he found between his couch cushions. (In case you didn't know, Bubba Paris was an NFL lineman for eight years.)
