LFB (Spain) Queen's Cup Semifinals - Ros Casares 86, Olesa 69
Cristal Kelly needs some help in moving the ball past Erika de Souza.
The tank of a team known as Ros Casares continued rolling over the opposition yesterday with another win in the Queen's Cup, this time over Olesa.
The box score of the game is here. A collection of photos can be found here.
Olesa was actually able to play Ros Casares fairly close. After a 19-19 tied first quarter, Ros Casares had a slim 40-37 lead at halftime. However, El Ros won the third quarter 28-15 and played Olesa evenly across the fourth quarter to move on to the Queen's Cup finals on Sunday.
Neither team took many field goal attempts but Ros Casares was the more accurate team, hitting 48 percent of their attempts compared to 37 percent from Olesa. For once, however, it would be Olesa that won the battle of the boards, out-rebounding Ros Casares 36-27 and earning 13 offensive rebounds compared to Ros Casares's seven. Olesa turned the ball over four more times than El Ros altogether, but would go to the free throw line 25 times and hit 21 free throw attempts.
