From an article about the WNBA and overseas play from
Sports Illustrated in 2002.
"In the WNBA players' salaries account for less than 20% of the teams' gross revenue, and the league's lowest-paid coach makes far more than the league's highest-paid player."Mind you, the highest paid player in the WNBA should just be scraping against the barrier of $100K per year. If this is true, this means that WNBA coaches make six-figure salaries.
My question: given what we've seen of WNBA coaching...
why is this so?
