Women's B-ball haters and women's B-ball would come to completely different conclusions depending on how well or how poorly she did.

I think it's time to simply stop comparing women's basketball to men's basketball. It's like comparing lightweight boxing to heavyweight boxing. Muhammad Ali beating up Sugar Ray Leonard says nothing about either of boxing's divisions.

As for Brent Musburger, well, ugh. On the other hand, I though Bobby Knight was fairly laudatory.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-595059113916595813.post-25578851991821160502009-02-17T16:00:00.000-05:002009-02-17T16:00:00.000-05:00ESPN is kinda getting on my last nerve lately. How...ESPN is kinda getting on my last nerve lately. How about that BS the day Pat Summitt won her 1000th game, and their basketball roundup show (whatever it is called) headlined the news (good), and immediately spoke of "the controversy". Huh? According to them, the alleged controversy is "could she coach men?" Unbelievable.

Then again, I think ESPN telegraphed how important they view women's [anything] when they called in Brent Musberger to call the TU/OU game.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
